First we visit Paestum, which is one of the most important archaeological sites in the country. Here you will see some of the best-preserved Greek ruins and monuments, such as the Temple of Poseidon and the Tomb of the Dive, a magnificent example of Greek painting.
Free time for lunch. From Amalfi we visit the Pertosa Caves, dated to about 34 million years ago. Numerous traces show that they were lived in up until the stone age; the Greeks and Romans assigned the cave as a seat of cult and finally the Christians consecrated the caves to St. Michael Archangel.
